We’ve had the privilege of using multiple grants to better our community by improving buildings, creating events that celebrate what gives life meaning, and developing projects that share important stories from our town’s citizens.

We hope to learn from the highlights of the past to help build a better future for our town.

Mossy Creek Market is a farmers market that meets every Saturday through the summer at Mossy Creek Station. It has brought friends and neighbors together to support local farmers and small businesses.

Mossy Creek Foundation covered the insurance expenses for Mossy Creek Market to show support for this wonderful community event!

Currently, one of the most important goals of the foundation is to see improvement in the overall streetscape to ensure all visitors of the area know that they have entered a historic district.

We have made small improvements so far by adding educational banners to buildings to help the community and visitors learn what took place in some of the buildings and in the entire downtown area. In addition, we have added flag banners to street poles with the Historic Mossy Creek District logo in conjunction with Carson-Newman University banners, as we are so closely connected.

Ensuring a unified connection with the entire community and identifying the Historic Mossy Creek District are just a couple goals of the foundation for the foreseeable future.
